Anna Grishchenkova and Irina Suspitcyna acted as co-authors of Scientific practical article-by-article commentary on the arbitral tribunal legislation and as arbitrators in the II RAA Competition on Arbitration Online

On August 27, 2017 Russian Arbitration Association (RAA) celebrated two meaningful events: presentation of the “Scientific practical article-by-article commentary on the arbitral tribunal legislation” book and the finals of the II RAA Competition on Arbitration Online. 

The book represents the definitive commentary on the current legislation on the arbitration proceedings, international commercial arbitration and corresponding rules of commercial law and rules of the Arbitration procedure code, the Code of Civil procedure and the Code of Criminal procedure. Forty five leading arbitration lawyers from Russian and international law firms took part in the research and acted as co-authors. Anna Grischenkova, litigation and international commercial arbitration partner of KIAP, acted as co-editor and co-author, and Irina Suspitcyna, Head of projects (arbitration and mediation), acted as co-author of the commentary.

Also this weekend within the framework of the II RAA Competition on Arbitration Online, which has already become annual, oral hearings took place at the Higher School of Economics Faculty of Law. The main aim of the competition for students is to achieve practical skills of litigation in arbitration online. Following the results of the first day qualifying rounds in the form of oral hearings there were 16 teams out of 44 who reached the finals. As for the results of quarterfinal, semifinal and final of the Competition, the winners are: Moscow State University (1st place), Higher School of Economics (2nd place) and Saints-Petersburg branch of Higher School of Economics (3d place). Anna Grishchenkova and Irina Suspitcyna support the Competition as arbitrators of the qualifying rounds and oral hearings for the second year in a row.
