Anna Grishchenkova will act as a moderator at C5 Conference “International Disputes & Asset Recovery involving Russian & CIS Parties” in London

From 30 to 31 January, 2018, the 7th annual conference “International Disputes & Asset Recovery involving Russian & CIS Parties” organized by C5, one of the largest agencies organizing business events, will take place in London.

As a rule, disputes involving parties from Russia and CIS are well-known by their complexity and large sizes of claims. Disadvantages of regional judicial systems and  many mandatory legislative norms, combined with the difficulties of bringing claims in the execution require certain skills and precisely planned and carefully designed strategies. During the conference, participants will find out if the expectations of the recent arbitration reform in Russia were justified, what to do and what not to do during conduction of cross-border investigations, asset tracing and recovery of assets, as well as how to use international law to protect investments against political risks and many other relevant issues.

Litigation and International Commercial Arbitration Partner of KIAP Anna Grishchenkova will act as a moderator of a panel discussion “Recognition and Enforceability: Challenges with Converting Judgements and Awards into Actual Recovery under the Law in Different Jurisdictions”. Among the most important questions of this discussion can be highlighted enforceability of foreign court judgements and foreign arbitral awards in Russia and CIS, enforceability of Russian and CIS awards and judgements in offshore jurisdictions, as well  as challenges with procedural delays and transfer of assets to third parties.
