BUSINESS LUNCH AND SEMINAR RESULTS: “The Resolution of Disputes at the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA): Practical Aspects”
On March 21, 2014, Sheraton Palace Hotel hosted a business lunch and seminar: “The Resolution of Disputes at the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA): Practical Aspects” organized by KIAP, Attorneys at Law, in cooperation with the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA).

The seminar speakers were Nadezhda Hubbuck, Counsel at the LCIA’s Casework Secretariat, Jane Fedotova, Associate at Simmons & Simmons LLP (London) and ex-LCIA secondee, and Konstantin Astafiev, Attorney at law and Partner at KIAP, Attorneys at Law. The discussion was moderated by Mikhail Uspenskiy, Partner at KIAP, Attorneys at Law.

During the event, the discussion participants considered a draft of the new LCIA Rules, specifically, such innovations as the representatives' code of ethics and possible appointment of emergency arbitrators. In addition, the practical aspects of the submission of applications and consideration of cases at LCIA were addressed, as well as the difficulties arising in the enforcement of the awards made by international arbitrations in the Russian Federation.
