Anna Grishchenkova and Irina Suspitcyna spoke at the conference “Russian Arbitration Day 2018”

On March 30, 2018 one of the most successful arbitration conferences in Russia – Russian Arbitration Day 2018 (RAD)  took place, organized with the support of the Arbitration Centre of the Institute of Modern Arbitration and the LF Academy educational project.

KIAP, Attorneys at law, was presented at the conference by Litigation and International Commercial Arbitration Partner of KIAP, Anna Grishchenkova and by Senior associate of International Commercial Arbitration practice Irina Suspitcyna.

Anna spoke at the first opening session “Issues of Arbitrability and Alternative Dispute Resolution” with the topic about the “Role of Psychology in Arbitration: Impact on Arbitrators’ Decision Making”. Irina spoke within the framework of the second session “Specific Types of International Arbitration” with the topic “Assistance of Arbitrators in Settlement between the Parties”, shown on the real examples if arbitrator can be a mediator at once and how may it affect the course of case consideration. You may find the presentations of Anna and Irina in our Analytics section.

All speakers’ presentations were recorded in real-time on the day of the event and the records are available at this link. One of the most important elements of RAD is the publication of the collection of articles “New horizons of international arbitration” including scientific and practical articles of speakers, acting at RAD, in which topics of such presentations are considered more thoroughly. Following the links below you may get acquainted with Anna's article "Some psychological aspects of arbitrator decision-making" and Irina's article "Assistance of arbitrators in settlement between the parties".

Russian Arbitration Day is a unique event aimed at the development of international commercial arbitration on post-soviet space. This purpose is also proved by the format of the conference and the procedure for speakers selection. The first Russian Arbitration Day (RAD) took place in 2013 with the initiative of Roman Khodykin, Anton Asoskov and Aleksandr Muranov, and with the support of the International Commercial Arbitration Court and Maritime Arbitration Commission of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation. RAD’s conceptual foundation enabled it to establish itself as a promising venue to exchange fresh ideas and discover new names in the Russian arbitration.
