From 20 to 28 July 2018 "HSE Summer Law School-2018" is being held. This project is organized by HSE Law Faculty with the support of Directorate for work with talented students. Talented school students from 8-10 grades from Russia, CIS and other countries of near and far abroad gathered together for the fifth time at the Voronovo learning centre to spend unforgettable vacation: to gain new knowledge and useful experience in legal area, to make new friends.
On July 25, 2018 Andrey Korelskiy, KIAP Managing Partner, shared with students his own work experience on providing consulting services and made the talk on the main principles of work and requirements for a beginning lawyer, and also gave useful advice to participants on their further professional development. Andrey Korelskiy also spoke about the actual problems of Legal Tech and the trends in IT development in the field of solving legal problems and supplanting the technical and low-skilled work of lawyers with robotic programs and applications.
Anna Grishchenkova, litigation and international commercial arbitration partner of KIAP, held a meeting with the school attendees on July 26, 2018 and spoke about the implementing of psychology in courts and in international arbitration. Participants have discussed how do psychological factors help and obstruct during the preparation of cases, how do judges make decisions and how to increase ones cogency (as in court, so in life).
The Summer Law School is one of the largest educational projects devoted to Law. For 8 days pupils from 8-10 grade, winners and prize-winners of different kinds of Olympiads on law and social studies, dive into unique atmosphere that unites those who want to feel involved in the world of the legal profession, gain invaluable experience, enrich themselves with knowledge in various fields of law, and determine the direction of further training. Lectures, seminars on civil, criminal, intellectual, international law, civil and criminal trial, theory of state and law, sociology of law, the securities market, as well as vocational and Olympiad trainings are being organized for School participants on a daily basis during the week.
The leading teachers and professors of HSE, specialists from large law firms – KIAP, Pepeliaev Group, BGP Litigation and many others – participate in the work of Summer School. KIAP, Attorneys at law takes part in HSE Summer Law School conduction for the second time.
