Anna Grishchenkova and Natalia Kisliakova spoke at the 10th ABA Conference on the Resolution of CIS-Related Business Disputes

On September 27, 2018 in Radisson Royal Hotel, Moscow, the ABA’s X Annual Moscow Conference on the Resolution of International Business Disputes, devoted to problems arising from resolution of commercial disputes involving parties from CIS countries, was held. The conference became a key event bringing together 150 participants, including judicial and corporate lawyers, experts in arbitration, judges, and representatives of academy and business. KIAP, Attorneys at law, was represented at the conference by Anna Grishchenkova, Partner, and Natalia Kisliakova, ICA practice Associate.

During the conference the experts have discussed the possibility to use “The Inquisitorial Rules on the Taking of Evidence in International Arbitration” (“The Prague Rules”) as a viable alternative to the IBA Rules on the Taking of Evidence in International Commercial Arbitration, Russian business litigation updates, sanctions, counter-sanctions and related measures and other current topics. Anna Grishchenkova, KIAP Litigation and International Commercial Arbitration Partner, acted as a speaker within the first round table with the topic “Soft skills in international arbitration”. ICA practice Associate Natalia Kisliakova took part in the round table related to “Arbitration of international sports disputes:  Lessons for international commercial arbitration?” and acted as a speaker during the discussion.

The event was traditionally attended by leading Russian and foreign lawyers, specializing on dispute resolution and working with CIS countries, from France, USA, Switzerland, Great Britain, China, Swiss, and Russia.
