On 17 February 2015 Hotel Baltschug Kempinski Moscow hosted the 8th Annual Russia & CIS Trade & Export Finance Conference, organized by the world's leading international trade finance magazine GTR (Global Trade Review) based in the UK.
Julia Osadchaya, Partner and Head of Banking and Finance practice, spoke at the legal section, which focused on sanctions and their impact on business.
Julia outlined the major challenges facing the Russian companies and banks within sanctions regime, reviewed challenges to international (European and US) transactions, as well as drafting arbitration clauses. She also described success stories in restructuring projects within sanctions regime and considered possible scenarios for legal development and deal structuring in 2015.
