The future of arbitration in Russia. Focus on Asia: KIAP at RAA conference
23 April 2015 Ararat Park Hyatt Moscow hosted the 2nd International Conference of the Russian Arbitration Association called “The future of arbitration in Russia. Focus on Asia”

Aybek Ahmedov, KIAP Partner, addressed a panel of the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) and read a report entitled “Application of the principle of justice in Chinese arbitration”. The conference was also attended by the partners Andrey Korelskiy and Anna Grishchenkova and the senior associate Irina Suspitcyna

The conference, co-organized by The Moscow Times, focused on the reform of arbitrazh (commercial) courts, sanctions and prospects for using the arbitration centres in South-East Asia as an alternative to European centres. Among the event attendees and speakers were representatives from the RF Justice Ministry and foreign arbitration centres in Paris, London, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Singapore and Dubai.

As part of its activities, the conference elected the governing authorities of the Russian Arbitration Association (RAA). Managing partner Andrey Korelskiy was elected to the Management Board of the Association along with other leading experts of the market.
