On 18-23 September 2016 the IBA Annual Conference was held in Washington, USA. This year KIAP, Attorneys at Law, was represented at the Conference by its Managing partner Andrey Korelskiy, partners Konstantin Astafiev and Anna Grishchenkova.
Anna Grishchenkova, partner of Litigation and International Commercial Arbitration practices, as well as the regional representative of Russia in the IBA Litigation Committee, spoke in two sessions: “Why bother with specialist trial advocates?” and “Natural resources agreements: common law provisions in civil law jurisdictions”.
IBA Annual Conference is one of the main events of the world legal society. The 2016 Conference was attended by a record number of participants - exceeding 6,000 delegates from around the world.
The Conference featured around 200 conference sessions and seminars on various branches of law, in which lawyers from around the world discussed new trends in the development of legal business, main legal changes in various countries that affect the global legal landscape. During the conference a variety of informal receptions and meetings were held.
