Julia Kirpikova moderates IRSOT's Non-compliance Risks of Corporate Crisis Management panel

27 July 2015 the Izmaylovo Alfa congress hotel in Moscow hosted a workshop called “Non-compliance risks of corporate crisis management”, organized by the Institute for the Development of Modern Educational Technology (IRSOT).

Lawyer Julia Kirpikova, senior counsel at the KIAP law firm, served as a moderator for a panel called “Staff management in times of crisis: the thin line between the lawful and unlawful”. Normally, any payroll cuts in times of crisis provoke discontent among the staff and can easily escalate into a workplace dispute. Experts discussed with the panellists the employer's best options for dealing with grievances, indicating, specifically, what provisions of employment contracts and bylaws to keep in focus in times of crisis, as well as describing legal ways to grade the pay for the same position  and cut wages, among other things.

Besides the live discussion in Moscow, the workshop was also webcast to 35 regions, which made it possible to reach an audience of some 230 people.

The Institute for the Development of Modern Educational Technology (IRSOT) is Russia's major player in fast-track training, refresher training and reskilling. Every year the Institute delivers 300+ seminars, courses and business training classes, which are attended by 17,000+ enrollees: economists, lawyers, accountants, HR managers and senior and mid-level executives.
