MSIIR offers Konstantin Astafiev's option course on anti-corruption legislation
KIAP Partner Konstantin Astafiev has started teaching an option course at Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MSIIR) titled “Anti-corruption legislation in Russia and foreign jurisdictions. Compliance and corruption control”. The option course is offered as part of master's programme for lawyers called “Corporate law and legal support for international projects” and consists of seven lectures and a case study workshop.

The course reviews Russia’s anti-corruption law, the UK's Bribery Act and the US's Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, explains the anti-corruption legislation of the USA and the UK for foreign and Russian companies, as well as outlining the practical aspects of internal control and application of Russian anti-corruption legislation.

The programme focuses on practice, rounds out Bachelor's programme, and introduces recent graduates to the way law firms and legal departments of international corporations conduct their daily operations.

MSIIR IIM's Master's programme was introduced in 2013 as MSIIR's only Master's programme for Russian law based on the best international practices. The syllabus centres on the use and implementation of the provisions of Russian public and private law in joint venturing. The purpose of training is to prepare highly skilled corporate lawyers as well as legal counsel for international projects.
