On October 26, 2017 KIAP, Attorneys at law,held a business-breakfast devoted to “Bonuses: how to pay and not to pay?” in LOFT Ministry.
Questions connected with the payment of bonuses become more and more relevant by the end of each financial year. The speaker of the event, Head of projects of Employment practice of KIAP Georgy Karaoglanov, with the participation of KIAP Partner Konstantin Astafiev and Head of Commercial practice Julia Kirpikova shared the practical experience with participants, told about the main risks of bonus systems in companies, problematic aspects of motivation programs and procedure of their identifying and their elimination at the pre-trial stage. Moreover,event attendees have looked through specific actual cases on bonus payment and refusal of bonus payment in court, and paid attention to related aspects of the stated topics: tax, corporate, subsidiary and even criminal liability which may arise out of the relations of employers and employees, top managers and shareholders of companies on the payment of bonuses and other incentive payments, including upon termination of the employment contracts.
Among the participants of the event were business owners and company executives, heads and managers of legal departments, and also heads of HR Departments of the leading Russian and international companies.
