KIAP supported Russian team from Higher School of Economics on the 2nd ICC-KLRCA Pre-Moot in Kuala Lumpur

From 2 to 4 March 2018 in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, was held the 2nd ICC-KLRCA Pre-Moot for the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot (Vis Moot), organized by International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC), previously known as Kuala Lumpur Regional Centre for Arbitration (KLRCA). KIAP, Attorneys at law, supported Russian team presented by students from Higher School of Economics.

Following the results of the Pre-Moot, in which participated 72 teams, NRU HSE team went through the qualifying stage and reached the elimination rounds and will continue to struggle within the framework of the main competition – Vis Moot. The event has gathered together recognized arbitration practitioners, academics and students from all over the world - in total there were more than 150 arbitrators and 300 participants from 21 countries.

The Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot was founded quarter century ago by several large Universities with participation of United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) and from that time is held annually in Vienna, Austria. Today the Moot is supported by 20 largest international arbitral institutions, including International Chamber of Commerce, London Court of International Arbitration, Hong Kong and Singapore International Arbitration Centres. Pre-moots  are being organized in order to prepare the teams for the main Moot.  Pre-moots are the training processes made on the basis of the case developed by the organizers of the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot.
