Konstantin Suvorov Becomes a Member of the Experts Panel of the Committee on Legal Affairs of the Russian Association for Electronic Communications

The partner of KIAP Intellectual Property practice Konstantin Suvorov has become an expert participant of the Committee on Legal Affairs of the Russian Association for Electronic Communications (RAEC).

Tasks before the Committee include conducting expert evaluations of the government agencies’ initiatives that affect the Internet-based resources; coordinating interactions between Internet companies; facilitating common approaches among industry members with respect to legal matters; as well as participating in working groups established for introduction of amendments, changes or modifications to the existing regulations and legal acts of the Russian Federation applicable to the Internet-based resources.  Furthermore, the Committee will interact with agencies and public associations from other countries concerning matters relevant to the tasks before the Committee.

The Russian Association for Electronic Communications (RAEC) has been established in 2006. The objective  of the Association is to form in Russia a well-developed information technology-oriented society that will have its specific sets of legislative norms and codes of professional conduct adopted both by the users and the players at the market of Internet resources. RAEC is actively involved in working on socially important tasks aimed at further development of information-oriented society in Russia and strengthening the image of Russia as a responsible participant of global information community.
