Ilya Dedkovskiy appointed Head of Bankruptcy practice of KIAP, Attorneys at Law
Ilya Dedkovskiy, attorney at law and one of the leading lawyers at KIAP, Attorneys at Law, has been appointed Head of the Bankruptcy practice.
Ilya joined the team of KIAP litigators in the year of 2010 when the Firm was just founded as a junior associate, having made it all the way from a novice specialist to a lawyer of the highest level with a supreme practical experience. He specializes in supporting complex disputes on challenging transactions and holding management liable for the company debts. Personally recommended by the international legal directory Best Lawyers in 2019 and 2020.
Ilya represented the interests of KIAP clients for the prosecution of subsidiary liability in the amount of more than 12 billion rubles. Over the entire period of his work in Bankruptcy practice, none of the clients of the Law Firm was brought to subsidiary liability for the company's debts. Only during the last year Ilya managed to reduce claims for challenging pre-bankruptcy transactions in the amount of more than 45 billion rubles.
Since 2015 Ilya teaches the Case study section on the Dispute resolution course of the Department of the practical jurisprudence at the Faculty of Law of the NRU HSE, analyzing bankruptcy cases with students on the example of significant cases in current judicial practice.
In 2009 Ilya graduated from the Law department of St. Petersburg State University, and in 2011 he graduated from the master course at the Russian School of Private Law. In 2015 he received the status of an attorney at law.
