From 20 to 28 July 2019, the "Summer Law School 2019" was held for the 6th time, a project organized with the support of the Faculty of Law of the NRU HSE and the Directorate for work with talented students. Talented students of 8-10 grades from Russia, CIS countries and other countries near and far abroad gathered at the training center in Voronovo, Moscow region, to spend an unforgettable vacation: to gain new knowledge and useful experience in law, meet new friends and just have a good and beneficial time.
Educational classes, lectures, interactive sessions, moot courts, film screenings, quests, trainings for school Olympiads, intellectual games, seminars on civil, criminal, intellectual, international law, civil and criminal process, state and law theory, sociology of law and the securities market were organized for participants every day during the week.
On 26 July 2019, KIAP, Attorneys at Law, held its own event called «KIAP Law Day», as part of the SLS-2019, which was a master class from leading lawyers at KIAP. At "KIAP Law Day" spoke: managing partner Andrey Korelskiy, who enunciated recent trends and vectors of legal consulting development; Ilya Dedkovskiy, Head of Bankruptcy practice, talked about the reform of the civil and arbitration process in 2019; Head of Commercial Practice, attorney at law, Julia Kirpikova and Senior associate of Banking and Finance practice Roman Suslov explored the topic of "E-market" in the format of Case study; Ekaterina Spakhova, Senior associate of Corporate practice, presented an intriguing topic "What you haven't been told about in Suits"; Stepan Sultanov, Associate of the International Commercial Arbitration practice, revealed the topic «Professional responsibility in the ICA: extending from «ethical no man’s land»; and, in conclusion of the program, Associates Sergey Ilin and Anton Kaminskii held a series of trainings on civil law and the process.
The Summer Law School is one of the largest educational projects devoted to Law. For 8 days more than 100 pupils from 8-10 grade, winners and prize-winners of different kinds of Olympiads on law and social studies, dive into unique atmosphere that unites those who want to feel involved in the world of the legal profession, gain invaluable experience, enrich themselves with knowledge in various fields of law, and determine the direction of further training.
The leading teachers and professors of HSE, specialists of major law firms – KIAP, Pepeliaev Group, BGP Litigation and many others, participate in the work of Summer School. KIAP, Attorneys at law, takes part in HSE Summer Law School conduction for the 4th time.
