On September 25, 2018 a workshop devoted to arbitration practices in Singapore and Russia was held in Moscow. The event was organized by Russian Arbitration Center (RAC) at the Russian Institute of Modern Arbitration together with the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC).
During the seminar various practical issues of alternative dispute resolution in Russia and Singapore were highlighted. The emphasis was given to specific features of dispute adjudication by the Singapore International Arbitration Center and by the Russian Arbitration Center at the Russian Institute of Modern Arbitration.
Anna Grishchenkova, Litigation and International Commercial Arbitration Partner of KIAP, Attorneys at law, was invited to the event as a Board Member of Russian Arbitration Center at the Russian Institute of Modern Arbitration. Anna spoke with participants about features of arbitration in Singapore and Russia. The second speaker of the workshop was Kevin Nash, Deputy Registrar and Centre Director of SIAC.
Russian Arbitration Center is one of the first permanent arbitration institutions, which have obtained the right to arbitrate in accordance with the new Russian Federal Law on Arbitration. The Center was created at the Institute of Modern Arbitration, focused on the development and promotion of arbitration in Russia, as well as raising the attractiveness of Russian jurisdiction as a place of business and the resolution of civil disputes.
