Alexander Borouhin Took Charge of the Energy and Utilities Practice

Alexander Borouhin, a recognized expert in the field of energy and communal services, joined the team of Korelskiy, Ischuk, Astafiev and Partners, Attorneys at Law, as the head of the Energy and Utilities Practice.

In his new role, Alexander will devote himself to further development of this practice area as well as providing consultations to the Russian and foreign owned companies and corporations concerning legal matters in the fields of energy and water supply, utilities, support in antimonopoly and tariff disputes, project management with respect to asset acquisitions and state and private partnerships.

Mr. Borouhin gained substantial experience while being in charge of the legal departments of LUKOIL subsidiaries as well as such largest energy producers as Southern Generating Company – TGC-8, Territorial Generating Company No. 5, Kirovenergo.

Alexander graduated cum laude from the Moscow State Legal Academy in 2002.  In 2007 he completed studies under the program for depositary receipts with The Bank of New York Mellon, United States.  He is fully fluent in the English language.
