Meeting of the ICC Russia Arbitration Commission Held at the Office of KIAP Law Firm

On March 10, 2026, a meeting of the ICC Russia Arbitration Commission took place at the office of KIAP, Attorneys at Law. The meeting was opened by Tatiana Monaghan, Secretary General of ICC Russia, and Nina Grigoryevna Vilkova, Chairman of the ICC Russia Arbitration Commission and Professor of the Department of Private International Law at VAVT.

Anna Zabrotskaya, Managing Partner of Nordic Star, shared the results of the presentation of the global Working Group on Expedited Procedures, as well as the results of the meeting of the Working Group on Artificial Intelligence (AI). The Working Group was established to coordinate business efforts in response to the rapid development of AI regulation.

A separate section of the meeting was devoted to sanctions regulation. Alexey Dudko, Senior Partner and Head of Dispute Resolution and Investigation Practice at LEVEL Legal Services, and Kirill Strunnikov, Director of Legal Support for UC RUSAL's Foreign assets, outlined key areas of development within the framework of the ICC Russia Commission. Work on the questionnaire "Sanctions and Arbitration" has been launched.

Following the discussion, the ICC Russia Arbitration Commission decided to continue its comprehensive work on updating the ICC Russia Registry of Arbitrators. Updating the Registry is aimed at increasing transparency and convenience of choosing arbitrators for parties to international disputes, as well as at further developing modern and high-quality arbitration practice.

In conclusion, Elena Vitalyevna Sitkareva, Department Chairman of Private International Law at the VAVT, and Nina Grigoryevna Vilkova told about the VI International Scientific and Practical Conference within the framework of the XIII M.G. Rosenberg International commercial arbitration Moot.

The meeting was also attended by Stepan Sultanov, Partner, Head of International Commercial Arbitration Practice of KIAP, Attorneys at Law, and a member of the ICC Russia Arbitration Commission.
