KIAP title sponsor of Russia's national freediving team at World Cup in Sardinia
17 September 2014 the island of Sardinia in Italy saw the Freediving World Cup kick off. KIAP is a title sponsor for the team, providing support at all stages of the championship.

Freediving is a form of underwater swimming on a single breath (apnoea) without using breathing apparatus; it is considered an extreme sport, in which Russian athletes have demonstrated truly outstanding achievements.

39 official freediving world records are held by Natalia Molchanova, the unchallenged leader of Russia's national team, 22-time freediving world champion and holder of 44 world records, who this year again heads the team, as well as presiding over the Russian Freedive Federation. Using no fins or anything else, Natalia can dive as deep as 70 metres. Her record in constant weight is 101 metres. And as for breath-holding, the Russian champion can do it for 9 minutes and 2 seconds.

Records of the male half of the national team are the responsibility of Alexey Molchanov, Natalia's son, world champion and record holder, freediving all-around champion of Russia 2005–2010, leading instructor, and vice president of the Russian Freedive Federation. Having set his first record in his maiden competition at the Russian championship in 2004 in dynamic with fins, Molchanov has been improving on his achievements every year. Eventually he became the first Russian national and the seventh person in the world to dive deeper than 100 m in constant weight (101 m, July 2008). In September 2013 he set his 4th world record in the discipline of Constant Weight — 128 m.

We wish luck to our national team and believe in their victory!
