KIAP beefs up its team with a new partner: Anna Grishchenkova, one of the most prominent trial lawyers on the Russian legal scene, has joined the litigation section as a partner. Anna has been named among the best Russian lawyers in dispute resolution: “An extremely persistent lawyer who always stands her ground”, a professional with a “sound knowledge of law”, “tenacious and composed’ lawyer” - this is what influential international ranking services, such as Chambers Europe, Chambers Global, Legal 500 and Best Lawyers, say about Anna.
Before joining KIAP, Anna was for 7 years employed by the Russian law firm FBK Legal, where she rose through the ranks from a lawyer to the head of dispute resolution, representing Russian and foreign companies in debt recovery disputes, corporate conflicts, disputes with public authorities, as well as in bankruptcy proceedings. Supervised a team of ten plus employees. Participated in 300+ legal proceedings, incl. representing the clients before Russian courts and international arbitration.
In 2011 Anna earned her LL.M in US Law. In 2004 she graduated from the law faculty of Tula State University. Between 2007 and 2014, she pursued further education: she was placed in barristers chambers in London under a joint programme of Bar Council, British-Russian Law Association, and interned in New York with J.P. Morgan Asset Management under a joint programme of the US State Department and the Fortune magazine. Also, she completed the courses “International Transactions” and “International Arbitration” under a joint education program of San Diego University and the Sorbonne. In 2007 she earned an auditor certificate in general audit. Member of International Bar Association and Member of the committee of defense of the rights of entrepreneurs (Russian Chamber of Commerce). Serves as an arbitrator on the Arbitration Tribunal of the Arbitration Centre Independent Not-for-Profit Organization. Fluent in English.
Anna Grishchenkova is one of the most sought-after speakers at Russian and international law conferences. Prominent among her recent public appearances are last year's speeches at the IBA annual conference in Tokyo at a session of Litigation Committee and ABA Dispute Resolution Conference in Moscow, as well as moderating at English Law Week and IBA Law Firm Management Conference in Moscow in 2013.
