Partners Elena Buranova and Andrey Zuykov participated in the meeting of the RSPP Committee on Intellectual property

On March 3, 2020, a regular meeting of the RSPP Committee on Intellectual property and Creative industries was held in Moscow. At the meeting KIAP was represented by Partner of IP Practice Elena Buranova and Partner of Tax practice Andrey Zuykov.

The topic of the discussion was "Tax problems in the turnover of intellectual rights and the formation of intangible assets. New business initiatives to protect intellectual property rights". Participants of the meeting discussed issues and legislative initiatives related to the calculation of taxes for transactions and payment of remuneration in respect of objects of intellectual property (IPOs), the existing world practice and Russian approaches to the formation of intangible assets, the expansion of judicial protection in the field of patent rights, and the regulatory legal regulation of "big data". As a result of the meeting, the position of the Committee was formed to make further decisions on this issue.
