Andrey Zuykov held a seminar “How to protect VAT deductions and income tax expenses, even for unscrupulous counterparties. Trends in Tax Control and Judicial Practice"

On August 11, 2020, an online seminar "How to protect VAT deductions and income tax expenses even for unscrupulous counterparties. Trends in Tax Control and Judicial Practice" was held, organized by the Chamber of Tax Consultants (CTC). The seminar was held remotely on the MIRAPOLIS platform.

Andrey Zuykov, Partner and Head of Tax practice at KIAP, Member of the Chamber of Tax Consultants and the Expert Tax Council of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, acted as a speaker of the webinar. During his speech, Andrey analyzed the public declaration of the goals and objectives of the Federal Tax Service of Russia for the current year, discussed with the participants the risk-oriented approach of the Federal Tax Service as a measure of encouraging taxpayers to make voluntary surcharges.

The expert has analyzed the main tools and trends of tax control of recent months, namely: Article 54.1 of the Tax Code of the Russian Federation, “tax reconstruction” using the example of the “Kuzbasskonservmoloko” case and VAT deductions for unscrupulous counterparties, and also gave recommendations on strategies for protecting against tax claims, which will work after the lockdown.

The seminar was attended by tax consultants, financial directors, chief accountants, and heads of tax departments.
