On June 17, 2025, Pravo.ru analysts presented the results of the second corporate research
study among Russian law firms. The study analyzed 2,692 projects in the field of corporate law, with a total value of 97.9 trillion rubles, based on data provided by 68 federal and 26 regional firms. It included cases completed from January 2024 through April 2025.
According to the results, KIAP, Attorneys at Law, was recognized in the following four categories:
- Leaders in transactions: KIAP’s Corporate practice ranked among the leading firms advising on M&A deals, taking 28th place in the Top-50 list of leading companies.
- Leaders in corporate conflicts: KIAP entered the Top-20 firms with projects totaling up to 10 billion rubles.
- Leaders in advisory: KIAP made it into the Top-25 firms that reported three or fewer projects or total project values up to 15 billion rubles.
- Leaders in restructuring: KIAP entered the Top-25 firms reporting projects totaling up to 50.2 billion rubles.
- Significant growth in interest in investments in friendly countries and in structuring deals through these jurisdictions.
- M&A market stabilization after the wave of emergency transactions in 2022–2023, with companies shifting to strategic restructuring.
- Corporate law increasingly serves as a tool for control and management, rather than mere paperwork, with lawyers designing resilient solutions amid sanctions and geopolitical instability.
