During November 28-29, 2019 the Xth Practical Conference "Effective Management of a Group of Companies - 2020" took place at the Radisson Collection Moscow Hotel, organized by the specialized editions of the Action-MCFR media group: “General Director”, “Financial Director” magazines and the “Financial Director” system.

“Effective Management of a Group of Companies” is the largest annual event for managing a group of companies, which brings together more than 200 CEO’s and CFO’s all over Russia. Leading specialists of Russian and international companies traditionally consider the most relevant and important topics of the industry.

This year, the topic of the opening session was the digital transformation - participants discussed the effectiveness of modern “robots”, the importance of building an effective system of business analytics in a group of companies, and reviewed relevant tax IT solutions. Further, representatives of the Federal Tax Service told about the main tax risks of holding structures and groups of companies, talked about deoffshorization and transfer pricing.

One of the most striking and interesting sessions of the conference was the business game "Your invitation for the examination to the Tax Service ". KIAP Partner and Head of Tax practice Andrey Zuykov took part in the game and conducted a training examination of a witness, a business representative, together with a colleague from the Federal Tax Service. During the business game, the participants learned what and how they would be asked during a real examination, trained to answer correctly and safely, and also heard recommendations on how to defend themselves and when it’s better to make no reply.

The second day of the event was devoted to the issues of interaction of a group of companies with banks and forecasts about the credit policy of banks in 2020, IT security issues, business structuring and landmark arbitration rulings in tax disputes, as well as a review of the situation and main trends in the labor market.
