On March 20, 2026, the XXII annual Legal Forum 2026, organized by Vedomosti, was held in Moscow at the Ararat Park Hyatt Hotel.
The key topic of the forum this year was current issues of legal practice: improving the operational efficiency of the legal function, integrating technology into the work of lawyers, key changes in judicial practice and law enforcement, the evolution of the bankruptcy institution, the main trends in the corporate transactions market, as well as the consequences of sanctions pressure.
Daniil Zherdev, Attorney at law, Head of Bankruptcy Practice at KIAP, Attorneys at Law, spoke at the case session "Current Bankruptcy Trends: cases and law enforcement" with the topic "Where prejudice begins and ends: problems of bankruptcy law enforcement".
In his speech, Daniil touched upon the existing problems of applying the provisions on prejudice in bankruptcy cases and shared the experience of the team in countering unjustified references to the prejudice of judicial acts. Special attention was paid to the impact of criminal convictions on bankruptcy disputes, which may cast doubt on the reality of the disputed transactions.
On our website, in the Analytics section, you can view a shortened version of Daniil's presentation, which preserves the most useful part – court practice, which makes it possible to justify the absence of prejudice in a judicial act.
You can also find a recording of the online broadcast of the forum on the event's website.
