On June 29th, 2017, in Gdansk, Poland, the representatives of polish, chinese and Hong-Kong-incorporated companies met at the Conference “China – Hong Kong - Poland towards the initiative of the New Silk Road”. The conference was a step forward to further business cooperation between Poland, the People’s Republic of China and Hong Kong.

Anna Grischenkova, litigation and international commercial arbitration partner of KIAP, represented the Hong Kong International Arbitration Center. In her speech Anna described HKIAC as an arbitration venue and put across the arbitration procedures and measures which are most coveted in the course of HKIAC arbitration.

The Conference was a unique forum of discussion between more than one hundred Chinese and eastern European lawyers and businessmen. Importantly, it showed that the companies and lawyers from both parts of the Earth show vivid interest in HKIAC as an arbitration venue. “It pleases to see how HKIAC, one of the foremost international arbitration centers, arouses interest not only in Russian and in the CIS, but in the Eastern Europe as well” – Anna remarked - “The Conference was a superb opportunity to meet not only the colleagues – polish lawyers – but also the representatives of the companies – the end user of arbitration”.

Among the Conference speakers there were representatives of the state (the Department of economic development), entrepreneurs (HSBC) and lawyers (Shanghai bar association, Law Society of Hong Kong).
