Anna Grishchenkova spoke at the International Legal Banking Forum 2020

On September 24-25, 2020, the II International Legal Banking forum on the topic "Current issues of law in the banking sector" was held in Samara. The forum was organized by Sberbank of Volga region, Samara University, and the Samara State University of Economics with the support of the Government of the Samara Region and the Association of Lawyers of Russia.

This year the forum was held in the online format with the offline platform in Samara. The program included two panel discussions, four breakout sessions, and a final round table. Forum topics covered such areas as civil law and procedure, criminal law and procedure, international law, legal aspects of working with distressed assets, banking law, and compliance.

Anna Grishchenkova, partner of Litigation and International Commercial Arbitration Practice of KIAP, spoke among the speakers of the panel discussion on International Law with the topic “Opportunities of foreign arbitration centers that have received permission to operate in Russia, for Russian parties”. Anna noted what advantages from the perspective of conducting arbitration proceedings are provided by the obtained permission, including at the stage of filing a claim, obtaining interim measures, requesting evidence and enforcing decisions.

The Forum 2020 was attended by about 800 experts from the banking, legal and scientific communities from Russia, Austria, France, and neighboring countries, as well as representatives of the legislative and executive authorities.
