The Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation awards Silver Medal For Assistance to Andrey Korelskiy

On 2 December 2024, the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation held an official presentation of departmental awards for assistance in the Ministry's work.
 
Andrey Korelskiy, Managing partner, KIAP, Attorneys at Law, was awarded a Silver Medal For Assistance. The award was presented by Elena Sushchenko, Deputy Head of the General Department of the Ministry of Justice of Russia for Moscow, and Igor Fleishman, member of the Moscow Bar Association, for providing free legal assistance to victims of the fire at Zimnyaya Vishnya mall on 25 March 2018 in Kemerovo. 

60 people died and 79 people were injured as a result of the tragic incident at the mall. The fire also claimed the lives of all animals in the petting zoo located on the third floor of the mall. In response to this terrible disaster, the Public Center for Assistance to Victims was created by more than 30 lawyers from different parts of the country, including Andrey Korelskiy.

Andrey took an active part in providing legal assistance to various categories of victims, including relatives of the deceased, and individuals who suffered bodily injury, pain and suffering and/or financial damage.
