KIAP, Attorneys at Law, begins its work in Commissions and Committees of the RSPP

In May 2019 KIAP, Attorneys at Law, became a member of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP). Joining the RSPP will allow the Firm to accede to the implementation of RSPP’s projects and initiatives, aimed at solving current economic problems and creating an effective business environment.

KIAP lawyers plan to work actively in the commissions and committees of the RSPP, jointly developing and implementing initiatives of the business community useful for business and economy.

Thus, Managing partner of KIAP, Attorneys at Law, Andrey Korelskiy and the Head of the Bankruptcy practice Ilya Dedkovskiy joined the Committee on Private Property and Judiciary System. The mission of the Committee is to maintain a constructive dialogue between the business community, state government, public and other participants of economic relations on issues of legal support and protection of property rights, and also the establishment of conditions for the development of fair competition.

Ilya Ischuk, Partner of Antitrust practice at KIAP, Attorneys at Law, was included in two RSPP Committees at once: Regulatory Policy Committee and Committee on Competition Development. The Regulatory Policy Committee is working to develop a unified position for representatives of the business community – RSPP members on the issues of regulatory policy of the government, and also contributes to the modernization of procedures for business participation in the consideration of draft laws. Among the principal challenges of the Competition Development Committee is the consideration of the initiatives of the antitrust service in the field of IT, competition protection, procurement, administrative and criminal law, tariff regulation, and adjustment of draft laws aimed at countering cartels.

Georgy Karaoglanov, Head of Employment practice at KIAP, Attorneys at Law, joined the Labor Market and Social Partnership Committee. The Committee is constantly analyzing relevant issues of Russian business and is working on developing proposals to provide a supportive environment for an entrepreneurship, as well as formulating proposals, to improve the flexibility of a labor and social legislation and increasing the discipline of market participants.

RSPP unites more than 320,000 representatives of industrial, scientific, financial and commercial organizations in all regions of Russia. The enterprises presented in RSPP produce more than 60% of Russia's GDP. Thousands of major Russian companies and more than 100 industry and regional associations are members of RSPP. The Union supports entrepreneurs not only in Russia, but also internationally, submitting proposals to improve conditions for business. The Union aims to consolidate the efforts of Russian industrialists and entrepreneurs aimed at improving the business environment, improving the status of Russian business in the country and in the world, maintaining a balance of interests of society, government and business.
