New appointments of  KIAP lawyers to the  Committees and Commissions of the RSPP

In May 2019, KIAP, Attorneys at law, became a member of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP). Joining the RSPP allowed KIAP lawyers to accede to the implementation of projects and initiatives of the RSPP, aimed at solving current economic problems and creating an effective business environment.

KIAP lawyers became actively involved with the work of commissions and committees of the RSPP, jointly developing and implementing initiatives of the business community useful for business and economy. Thus, Managing partner of KIAP, Attorneys at Law, Andrey Korelskiy and the Head of the Bankruptcy practice Ilya Dedkovskiy joined the Committee on Private Property and Judiciary System. Ilya Ischuk, Partner of Antitrust practice at KIAP, Attorneys at Law, was included in two RSPP Committees at once: Regulatory Policy Committee and Committee on Competition Development. Konstantin Astafiev, Head of Employment practice at KIAP, Attorneys at Law, joined the Labor Market and Social Partnership Committee.

This fall, new appointments of KIAP lawyers to the working bodies of the RSPP became known. Maxim Buzin, Head of division "Government Procurement: legal support and disputes", was included into the Commission on Trade and Consumer Markets. The Commission is working on adopting a common position of representatives of the business community - members of the RSPP, on state regulation of trade activities, contributes to improving of the legal and regulatory framework of the issues of responsibility allocation for the production and distribution of counterfeit products, as well as sanitary rules and norms for trade enterprises.

Elena Buranova, Head of Intellectual Property practice of KIAP, Attorneys at Law, Russian registered Trademark attorney, became a member of the Intellectual Property Committee, which was established by the decision of the RSPP Board in October 2019.

The Committee sets the objective of maintaining a constructive dialogue between the business community, government, public and other participants of economic relations on the effective use of intellectual property assets, legal protection, protection and management of intellectual property rights and assets, and the promotion of the development of science intensive, high-tech and cultural industries of economy (creative industries).

Anton Samokhvalov, the partner of Corporate practice of KIAP, Attorneys at Law, joined the Committee on Corporate Relations. The Committee’s activity is focused on the development of corporate legislation, which proves able to provide a high level of legal regulation of corporate relations, as well as the development and implementation of advanced corporate governance standards in the Russian Federation.

RSPP unites more than 320,000 representatives of industrial, scientific, financial and commercial organizations in all regions of Russia. The enterprises presented in RSPP produce more than 60% of Russia's GDP. Thousands of major Russian companies and more than 100 industry and regional associations are members of RSPP. The Union supports entrepreneurs not only in Russia, but also internationally, submitting proposals to improve conditions for business. The Union aims to consolidate the efforts of Russian industrialists and entrepreneurs aimed at improving the business environment, improving the status of Russian business in the country and in the world, maintaining a balance of interests of society, government and business.
